DIG is seeking candidates for
a three year, $5.2 million USAID-funded program in Cote d’Ivoire:
Senior Legal Land Advisor:
The Senior Legal Land Advisor will support the Chief
of Party in the management of the project. S/he will be in charge of providing
technical legal advice on women’s access to land tenure. S/he will also provide
managerial leadership as Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP). S/he should have strong
women legal empowerment working experience in West Africa including francophone
countries. Experience in Côte d’Ivoire is strongly encouraged. Additionally,
S/he will oversee the administration of the project supporting the COP’s
efforts. The Senior Legal Land Advisor should also have another core technical
expertise including community awareness raising and community mobilization.
Minimum Qualifications:
The Senior Legal Land Advisor is expected to have a
Master’s Degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, or a
related field and eight (8) or more years of progressive experience with women
legal empowerment, women empowerment in the developing world and ten or more
years as Legal Advisor demonstrating deep knowledge on women access to land,
women land rights. The Senior Legal Land Advisor is expected to support the COP
in the project planning, high-level liaising and partnership building, team
leadership, administrative management, and financial oversight skills required
for this Activity. The Senior Legal Land Advisor should be fluent in French and
English.
