DIG is seeking
a Chief of Party for a Liberia-based, USAID/Liberia-funded land management
program that focuses on achieving land tenure security for Liberians.
The activity will explore land use planning and
livelihoods approaches to demonstrating the economic value of the Community
Land Development and Management Committees (CLDMC). The activity will
prioritize inclusivity of the CLMDCs and the furthering of women’s rights
through the management of communal lands. The activity will also prioritize
conflict sensitivity and conflict mitigation, ensuring that communities have
access to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms to resolve land
disputes and grievances. The successful candidate will have at least 15
years of experience in development, including 10 years in land management and
conflict resolution, including at least one year as Chief of Party for a
USAID-funded program. Excellent management skills, excellent written
and analytical skills, ability to work with multiple partners, willingness
to travel frequently and the ability to create a unified, results-focused
team are required for the job. The position will be based in Liberia.
